This rhyming text teaches children to reflect on God’s presence and love. Bailey the Bear is worried. “Do you know when God sleeps? Does He ever lie down?” Bailey asks his mother. If God falls asleep, He might miss Bailey’s first day of school. What is he falls off the slide or finds a nest of bees? Who will be there to watch over him? Bailey’s mother assures him that God is always near–He never grows tired or needs to rest. “so when bad things happen, know our God always cares. He will listen to you and will answer your prayers.”
